What was difficult, and how I solved it
A custom blog on a static website
- Challenge
- The site needed a blog of its own while staying a fast, static website.
- Solution
- I built a custom blog system with Gatsby: posts are compiled into static pages at build time, so there is no database to query on each visit.
Fast and accessible on every device
- Challenge
- A personal brand is judged in the first seconds, on whatever device the visitor uses.
- Solution
- Static generation, responsive layouts, and accessible markup gave the site top results in Google PageSpeed.
